My Process

I hand make earrings using Japanese glass seed beads called Delica’s. Their cylindrical shape allows me to weave designs using peyote stitch into geometric shapes.
I also use Alkeme, a lightweight speciality metal to alter shape, stamp and work in textures & patterns for unique earring designs. Alkeme is tarnish resistant, lead & nickel free.

I compliment my earrings by using quality French style earring hooks made from natural or anodised Niobium. They are hypoallergenic and designed for style, comfort and longevity. When anodized, Niobium can be transformed into brilliant colours including Copper & Bronze tones.

Gold and Rose gold filled quality earrings hooks are also available which contrast the lustre of Alkeme beautifully.

All my supplies are purchased from Australian small businesses.

I draw inspiration from the colour palettes and shapes in nature and Architectural styles throughout Victoria and am always delighted to talk about my techniques and the materials I use.
